I'm starting my Vlog off this week sharing a highlight, a shining moment that put into perspective what I am doing: that is connecting with other actors and inspiring each other beyond our work. Cheezy enough? Yep! And true. Of course, I'm still on track with my weekly goals... and sick again. What?! Rude. Check it out:
Watch Now!: Marie's Acting Journey 2017 | Wk. 5
#1- What practical tips or skills did I learn in the last week?
I can't share better than everyone on the livestream panel that I was honored to be a part of. You can find all the inormation shared from actors Morgana Shaw (Texas), Charles Andrew Gardner (Chicago) and Lewis D. Wheeler (Boston). The link for the panel is here! I was able to represent Atlanta and share tips for acting in this local market, but it was so helpful to hear what these movers and shakers are doing in their own markets.
#2- The work I'm doing now: What am I currently working on and excited about in my craft?
I feel like the week got away from me, and I didn't get to accomplish all I had planned. That happens sometimes and it's okay. Stop being a perfectionist Marie! But I did take some time to read about Lily Tomlin who won the Lifetime Achievement award through SAG-AFTRA. (Sometimes I think reading a magazine is like I'm "relaxing" too much. Haha!)
And I did some Sundance research. Developing The Shelter series has inpspired me to learn more what other creators are doing, and there's no better place than Sundance!
#3- The Faith Lesson: What did I learn about being faithful this week?
I realized this week that I had forgotten some of the previous faith lessons I learned this last month. I figured it out, because I had a little moment where I was freaking out about things that I just needed to be patient about. So the lesson this week is to remember past lessons. We are forgettful creatures. I welcome the challenge! I will remember.
