#Faithful2017 | Marie's Acting Journey Week 18/19
Okay you caught me. I skipped a couple weeks. I was out of town. What can I say?! That is not helpful, Marie. I have no excuses, but I'm back, so here we go with some cool news! A commercial to share with you at this link! Plus the Vlog below to hear details on what else has been up. Thanks for reading and watching!
Marie's Acting Journey 2017 | Wk. 18/19
1. What did I learn this week about my craft?
More like, what did I learn this week about the industry in Atlanta? Well I found out there were a lot of shows that were cancelled or just finished their sole seasons. And there are a lot of shows we should be on the look out for. Some that have already filmed a bit and some that are sure to bring a bunch of work to our Local Atlanta market. Stay ready everyone. Here's what I have off the top of my head:
Out: TURN: Washington's Spies, Underground, Shots Fired, 24 Legacy
Coming: Mr. Mercedes, Valor, Dynasty, The Resident
2. What am I currently working on?
Well I was thrilled last week to find the commercial I booked for Hilton's Embassy Suites online. It was a lot of fun filming, and to share it with you all, I have put it in the Video Section of this website as well as part of my playlist on my YouTube Channel. Please check it out and share!
Also, I am getting ready for the Fall by taking new headshots this month. I just met with my agents and got some great insight on shows I am targeting and looks that I reflect characters I want to play. I'm seriously excited for this new time.
The last thing I'm doing lately with my free time is cleaning up my social media and whose material I actually want to read. There is a lot of helpful stuff out there (and not so helpful), and I want to read it all, but I can't. So I'm getting organized.
3. What was my "faith" lesson this week?
Oh my goodness. So this faith lesson has nothing directly to do with my acting. I just realized more-so this week how precious life is. Maybe it's because of my panic attacks on the 5 flights I had to take to get to Montana and back home over the holiday weekend. Maybe it's because I started watching 13 Reasons Why. Whatever the case, living like today is my last (or that is could be someone else's last- like the little boy crying on the plane out of his own fear) makes you prioritize things differently and in the most miraculous way. I hope we can all pay close attention in those moments.
